  1. A stewardship campaign must be positive, redemptive and constructive.  The only way to raise money effectively is through a positive approach.
  2. Giving must be approached from a spiritual standpoint.  Giving is really not New Testament giving until and unless it has a spiritual dimension in it.
  3. Stewardship must be presented without using pressure tactics.  God loves the cheerful giver.  Our stewardship commitments must be hammered out on the anvil of prayer.
  4. Proper motivation in giving must be emphasized.
  5. Giving begins through a right relationship with God.  New Testament giving is the result and fruit that is prompted by being rightly related with Jesus Christ.
  6. Stewardship should be approached through an emphasis on the lordship of Christ.
